Subject: Port Strike in South Africa

Pursuant to the news by South Africa, the industrial action threatened by SATAWU who has officially commenced

that all operations within the port of Durban have been suspended including the movement of vessels in and out

of the port. At this stage it is uncertain that how long the strike is intended to continue. We are already facing several days delay in berthing and expect the situation to deteriorate further as the strike continues.

Whilst every effort has been made to try limit the impact to our customers we have had to take immediate and decisive counter measures to ensure the integrity of our long term schedule and our on-going service to all regions.

Please find below vessel/voyage which are affected by the port strike

1) Kota Permas V.031W (ETA DURBAN - 18/MAY/2010)

2) Kota Sabas V.022W (ETA DURBAN - 22/MAY/2010)

3) Manhattan Bridge V.117E (ETA Cape Town – TBA)

We are well aware that this difficult decision will impact on your business adversely, which we regret , all we can ask, is for your understanding and give our assurance that we will try assist as much as possible to limit the impact as much as possible.
