Request for Insertion of Booking Number in Shipping Instruction Document (SI)
This
is to supersede our early notification dated 30 Sep, 2008.
Please be informed
that we will adopt a new booking numbering system with effect from below
vessels/voyages. The new booking number
consists of 10 digits which represents our bill of lading number (or seaway
B/L). (KKLU=1, HA=1,SZN=02,MFM=03,CAN=04,XIA=05,FZU=06 & FCG=07. For
example: 1) if booking number = 1198765400, then B/L = KKLUHA98765400 2)if
booking number = 1053579800, then B/L = KKLUXIA3579800).
If B/L is needed for
splitting or combining, the last two digits 00 are for b/l splitting from
01,02,03..99 and please use the first number as much as possible for combining
multiple containers to one b/l.
In order to smooth our bill of lading (or seaway
B/L) process, you are kindly requested to insert the booking number in all of your
shipping instruction documents (SI). The
lack of booking number information may result delay of bill of lading (or
seaway B/L) issuance.
